Lige før det sidste A-finaleafsnit ved Danish Open/DM Junior 2019 blev sat i gang i Taastrup Svømmehal blev Dansk Svømmeunions trænerpris overrakt Jonas Lundström fra Sigma Swim. Det var bestyrelsesformanden for Dansk Svømmetræner Sammenslutning (DSTS), René Thomsen, der overrakte prisen til træneren fra Nordsjælland. Trænerprisen overrækkes typisk hvert år.
